  • Asia:China Mobile (China Mobile Limited) is the largest telecommunication provider in China, with 600 million subscribers. They served 50 million mobile video subscribers in 2011. Their mobile video service has grown rapidly, at the annual rate of more than 150%, over the past five years. Read more
  • N.America:Video viewing on IP-Connected devices continues to grow in the US. A recent e-Marketer survey shows that 49% of U.S. adult online video viewers watched full-length TV shows and movies on the web at least monthly in 2011. Their data also indicated that percentage of mobile video consumers will grow from 14.4% of the U.S. population to 24% of the US population By 2015.Read more
  • Europe:A recent Orange U.K. survey found that mobile media users among U.K. mobile subscribers increased by 45% compared to 2010. Primarily driven by tablet adoption, users are consuming more video on mobile devices. A similar trend was also indicated by QuickPlay Media’s 2011 U.K. survey – 76% of respondents reported watching more mobile video than last year. According to Orange, in the U.K. tablet use is actually cannibalizing home TV viewing and PC usage. The study found 35% of tablet users are watching on demand content and 39% are ‘watching TV’ on their tablet. Read more
