- Smartphones are selling like hot cakes. By 2016 Juniper forecasts that smartphone shipments will increase from 302 million in 2010 to 1 billion annually. This will be driven primarily by smartphones priced below $150. Read more
- SNL Kagan forecasts Over-The-Top (OTT) video delivery will reach 10% of U.S. households, which is 12.1 million homes, by 2015.  I expect that the increasing number of people consuming TV via OTT will drive the consumption of TV on smartphones as most OTT services are multi-screen services. - According to Apple as of July 2011 the 200 million iOS users have made more than 15 billion downloads of the 425,000 apps in the iTunes App Store. Apple has paid out a total of $2.5 billion to the developers of these apps to date. Read more
