- Strong Appetite for Mobile Video: In the three months time ending June 2011 “more than 16 million mobile users in the U.S. watched TV or video on their mobile phones.” More than 50% of the viewers were in the age group of 18-34 with males making up 61.8% of the viewers. Read more
- Mobile Video consumption on smartphones will drive mobile data use: According to Cisco’s Visual Networking Index (VNI) mobile video traffic will account for 52.8 % of mobile traffic by the end of 2011, up from 49.8 % at the end of 2010. The average smartphone will generate 1.3 GB of traffic per month in 2015, a 16-fold increase over the 2010 average. Read more
