QuickPlay Media, the premier provider of solutions that manage the business of mobile video, today announced that its PrimeTime2Go™ service has been named a finalist in the “Best Video & TV Service Provider” category in this year’s ME Awards. Now in their fourth year, the ME Awards have established themselves as the premier awards event in the burgeoning mobile content space. Winners will be announced in a ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on October 1.

“PrimeTime2Go provides consumers with an easy and convenient way to enjoy quality programs from top networks on their mobile phones,” said Mark Hyland, vice president, QuickPlay Media. “We are honored to be recognized by the ME Awards in the ‘Best Video & TV Service Provider’ category for the second consecutive year. This acknowledgement truly validates our team’s vision and their ability to transform their ideas into innovative solutions with mass consumer appeal.”

Introduced in April, PrimeTime2Go is a premium mobile TV service that enables consumers to easily access full episodes of popular programs from leading networks and cable providers including ABC, CBS, MTVN, NBC, ESPN and more. All downloads occur over Wi-Fi and following the download consumers are able to enjoy their favorite programs in both connected and disconnected environments. PrimeTime2Go is currently available in the US via the BlackBerry App World storefront, where it has become one of the site’s most popular applications. In the future, PrimeTime2Go will be extended to other leading smartphones and geographic locations.

This year’s ME Awards will feature 18 awards across three categories including the following: development and publishing; services; operators and handsets. New awards for 2009 include Best App Store, Best Search and Location company and Best Social Media company. The winners will be voted upon by a judging panel, which consists of approximately 400 executives from all sectors of the business.
